Apart from higher resale value or being able to overclock in the future if you change your mind... I cannot think of a reason to get a K chip if you're not going to overclock no...also is it still work getting a i7 k series if i would not be overclocking?
Whats the rest of your system and what do you need this pc for?

i will be overclocking the gtx card in its normal bios, will not be pushing voltages, what do you guys think of the rig anything you would change?
There's no point having a badass overclocking motherboard + heatsink if you wont overclock at all - the sabertooth is pretty overkill even if you do. Just swap the CPU for the k-edition and then if you want to OC at some point you at least have the option.
Maybe swap the samsung evo SSDs for 840 pros?
ollie2k13, I would agree with ALXAndy, but get a different board.

I have a UD3 rev 1 since 2011 (with latest BIOS), and hasn't left me with such a good opinion to advice someone else to get it.
As for not overclocking, my FX8350@5G performs like a dream, and nowadays you can use AMD overdrive to do the overclocking from Windows with AMD safely managing any adventurous settings.
Also get windows 8 (8.1). Apparently they are better for gaming, even if annoying as OS.
You compare items that are not on the same price level.

A 4770 makes more sense than a 2600K but both are twice as much than a FX8350 for +20% (4770) or same (2600K) the performance. (still the FX has 8 cores)
If money wasn't an issue, I would propose a 4930K. But that is twice as much as a 4770 for ~20% the perfomance.![]()
Because Asus boards have auto overclocking profiles, could just get a 4770K, then set it to 4.4GHZ with CPU level up and then forget about it.
