I have an Apple Classic 80GB Ipod and I believe that the hard drive has gone as there is a weird ticking noise, songs not playing and its altered the amount of the hard drive used and I cannot connect the ipod to a computer any more.
I was just wondering if any one knew if OC does the right size hard drive for an Ipod so I cen replace my existing one in the ipod.
By the way the warranty has expired and apple quoted me £100+ to fix it so I was wondering if it was cheaper to do it my self.
Thanks in advance.

It's a 1.8" drive. If it's anything like my old iPod 3rd Gen then it's won't use a standard laptop IDE connector so you'd need another iPod drive with a ZIF connector.

Probably worth a look at iFixit.com to get a better idea.
