Need Help Identifying This Programme

I'm trying to find out what this tv programme I saw years ago is. There's not much to go on I'm afraid so I'm hoping someone will remember something!

One scene I can remember is a girl stumbling over cliffs/hills and ends up in a valley in Wales (I think). There's a bloke there she meets and he lives on a farm with a dog (golden labrador?). I think it's some sort of survivor type series, the bomb had gone off but this valley was protected from the fallout. Can anyone remember this?

Yes I can remember seeing this, the plot was a scientist type person in a radiation suit stumbles upon a remote valley in Wales, where a woman and her dog live. There has been some sort of Nuclear war. A stream runs through the valley. He drinks some water from it, however it is contaminated at the point where he drinks it. Think he ends up attempting to rape the woman and then dies of radiation poisoning - very bleak. Cannot remember the name of it though ! Think it dates from the 190's or early 1990's.

Z for Zachariah. It was a BBC Play for adaptation of that book. They changed the location from the US to Wales.
