Hi,

Previously downloaded the 64bit version in january that was available to the public. I no longer have the key or the ISO I used at the time and need to install it on my spare PC. (The machine I installed it on previously has been wiped).

When I go to the website where the keys used to be, I am able to get a key (I assume it is just giving me the one I previously got with my Live account).

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/evalcenter/dd353205.aspx

Is there anywhere I can now download the 64 bit ISO? Is a newer version available for say Technet or MSDN people (I am neither)? Would my key work on one of those?

If I can't get it done in the next couple of hours I will just install XP on the machine for now, but wanted to put Windows 7 Beta on, if I can.

Yes. Torrent sites do three versions (that I've found), well three builds anyway. Find out the hash for the 64 bit version, download it and check the hash, if it's not the same, search for another until you find it.

Would it be illegal for someone to send you a dvd of it (no key) for free if this doesn't work out for you?

there are only about 10 keys anyway

there's no legal way to get W7 anymore

7057 is the latest build to float on the internet

OK.

I found a version on peer2peer places, will try it. If it fails just gonna install XP. My fault for deleting the ISO when I had it.
