Budget of £200 for the card.
Cant quite decide on which to choose since there is so many. Was planning on getting a 4890 and buying another in a month or so and xfire them, but after reading numerous threads it seems the power needed (for xfire) for them is a bit over the top (ive only got a 600w ps)

Basically just want it for gaming on high quality (1 monitor )

motherboard is http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-169-GI
if only 1 card is needed might downgrade the motherboard to the lower gigabyte one since its about £35 cheaper (lower one doesnt xfire at x16)

Thanks

Depends on resolution does you monitor support. For example getting two of those cards for playing at 1680*1050 is not going to be wise.

ah sorry forgot that, currently my monitor is 1680*1050 but was planning on upgrading when i got the 2nd card.

If you are unsure about going the SLI/Crossfire route then don't. I have tried both and although it worked fine for most games, the few issues I had really spoiled the overall enjoyment. I am now a single GPU man.

i think ill stick with the 1 graphics card, from what ive read, saves buying new monitor.

But still stuck on which one to get

Well, if you are not going over £200, then get a GTX 260-216, or a 4870 1024MB.

You can't really go wrong with either, both offer great performance and good value.

i dont really fancy going to far over 200, id stretch to a 4890 but no furthur so max £215

Sounds to me like you've already made your mind up, so just buy yourself the 4890. I'd personally get a GTX 260 and save a bit of cash, especially at your res.
