Hey guys, I am ordering my system on Friday, and I've been trying to find a low budget monitor - I was just looking in my room and remembered I bought a t.v not too long ago, I was wondering.. Is it possible to use my tv as my monitor?? It says HDMI compatable and PC connectivity - Here are some pictures of it:

Hi there,

You can hook your TV up to your PC and use it as a monitor - using either a VGA or HDMI connection (I would recomend HDMI as it is a digital connection).

However, please bear in mind that your TV is only "HD Ready" which usually means it has a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels - which isn't great for PC use (a more standard PC resolution is 1920x1080) and you would be much better off just going for a cheap PC monitor (even something like this) over using a HD Ready TV for a primary PC monitor.

May I ask what make and model number graphics card you are using? With that info we can show you what cables you will need to hook up your PC to your TV.

Ah I see, so its okay if I can just use it for the time being, and then upgrade to a proper monitor when I get the chance. Thanks for the info guys.
