Need Help On Upgrade Please :)

Hey,
Im looking to buy a new motherboard, PSU and RAM.

My current CPU is an AMD Athlon II x 4.

I am after around 8gbs of ram and budget is around £200 but can be flexible.

This is what i have found so far:
Asus M5A97 PRO AMD 970
BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Total = £179.95

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated

Could you give the model of your CPU so we can confirm this will work with the motherboard specced.

Sorry For the Double Post, However,

Would it be a better idea to go for the:
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G
Instead of the:
Asus M5A97 PRO AMD 970
And then Purchase:
OCZ Agility 3 60GB 2.5" SATA-3

Or shall i stick to the original MB?

if your thinking of going ssd then stick with the original mobo has it has the sata 6Gb/s ports.

what gfx card are you running on the system , long as you don't have or plan to add a high end card then the psu will be fine.

Hi,
I have a Gigabyte GV-N430OC-1GL nVIDIA PCI-Express Graphics Card, basically a GT 430, not a great gfx card i know but at the time it was a gift.

I found another motherboard which seems suitable and more cost effective than the first one, this one also includes 6 SATA-III: MSI 870A-G54 AMD 870

Its looking like my final upgrade will be:

MSI 870A-G54 AMD 870
OCZ Vertex 3 60GB
Kingston HyperX (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W
Total : £271.33
