Need Help Overclocking E6300

Right, went out and brought a E6300 along with a Gigabyte GA965P S3 Board and as I'm new to overclocking conroe I would like some help and guidance on overclocking it.

My current ram is - G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5400 (2x1GB) and I'm using a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro to cool things.

I have mate, I've gone through many threads and thought someone would be kind enough to give a few pointers here, which obviously they haven't.

The 965P S3 is the exact same as the DS3, so have a read through the two DS3 posts in the Motherboard forum.

But you probably won't get much more than 2.4Ghz with the pc5400 RAM, maybe more if it's decent clocking.

my Geil 5300 has no trouble with 2.7 (not tried higher) - although it feels a bit hot to the touch. primes for > 12 hours tho.

You need to ask something a bit more specific to get help really. But to start set your ram multiplier to 2x, voltages to manual. VCore to stock (1.325) VDimm to whatever the RAM is rated at, and up the fsb in increments - as in the guide.

If you have a specific problem you will get an answer

Hi, my Geil is PC2-5300 is running at a voltage of 2.1, FSB of 400, 1:1, thus it's at 800mhz, PC2-6400 speeds...
