Hi,

Just looking for a monitor, got a budget of around £150, may be able to go a little bit higher if it's worth it, but no more than £200.

The main aim will be for gaming on my PC (has a ati 5870), I may use it for other things such as web design etc, and obviously browsing the internet, so i guess i need a good all rounder.

Not really bothered about viewing angles.

Was looking for the past few days but can't really decide on what to get.

Not really bothered about the stand for the monitor although if it was adjustable would be preferred.

Probably going to be connecting it through HDMI but again I don't mind getting a DVI cable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Forgot to add, would prefer something around 24"

How about the Viewsonic VX2336S.

Not got any direct experience myself but it is getting really good reviews. Only 23" but that might be ok for you given the price is so good (available from around £122).

Just checked a review and youtube videos of it. Looks very good, any others recommended or do you think I should go with this one?

Also just wanted to check, if I buy this one, is there any certain DVI cable I need or just any standard one?

Thanks again for your response and help

If I was buying a screen now it would be that one. I am thinking about getting a new one but ideally would like a 1920x1200 resolution... I'll just have to wait to see if such a thing appears.

I believe any standard DVI cable will do. I imagine that the screen will come packaged with one. But check that first.
