Hi guys, so I have no re-built my PC, and I now have a new motherboard and a more capable cooler.
On this current setup (P8Z68-V Pro & H100 w' Zaward fans), I seem to be able to squeeze around 4.8GHz out of the CPU with reasonable voltages.
I currently have my multi & bclk @ 48 x 100 as per usual, LLC on 'High', PLL over-voltage enabled, and i'm using offset voltage (around 1.4v) and the voltage hovers at about 1.38v while stress testing on Prime95 Blend.
The overclock is stable for regular usage, but I got a BSOD + auto-restart after around 60 - 90 minutes of Prime95 blend. My temps were at around 65°~ occasionally dropping as low as 60° and peaking at just over 70° on two of the cores.
I am not by any means an experienced overclocker. I know my way round a BIOS and can fiddle with things fairly confidently, but I don't know how to overclock efficiently, I dont know how certain settings affect how you use other settings, and there are a fair few things that I have never touched (such as C states, base clock, power limts, current limits, PCM/PLL/VCCIO voltage, spread spectrum and so on)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
