I currently use a Razer Naga mouse which has been great for when I used to play MMO's but I very rarely do so anymore and also it is very small for my giant hands. I have looked at a lot of mice review videos on YouTube and I am torn between 2 mice. First I'll let you know what I don't like so you don't waste time recommending those to me.

Razer Ouroboros (actually anything from Razer, their too small) - Corsair Vengence M series (50, 60 or 90) - anything from Logitech (don't like the style or the feel of them although they have been highly recommended).

So this has kind of left me with 2 to choose from, both have excellent reviews and both are from the same company. They are the Saitek Cyborg R.A.T 9 and the Saitek Cyborg M.M.O 7.

So ever since I bought the Razer Naga I have had problems with the cable as it's very stiff and can get in the way from time to time which is why I like the idea of getting a wireless mouse even though as a gamer I have a serious mistrust of anything wireless and therefore the RAT 9 looked very interesting with the hot swapping battery's and most of the reviews say that the battery lasts a good 8 hours plus (although I have seen some that say 2 hours but that can't be right surely).

As for the MMO 7 although it is wired it seems to have fixed a lot of the complaints that people had with the RAT 7 (and also the 9 I guess). I believe that stability was one concern with the RAT 7. Also while I don't play MMO's very often, I do still play them from time to time and the RAT 9 would severely limit my ability to play those with the lack of buttons that it has. I would have the option of keeping the Razer Naga handy and use that for the MMO games I guess but that's not exactly ideal.

So I guess I'm kind of answering my own question really because as I type this it makes more sense in my head but I'm gonna throw it out to all you guys anyway.

The MMO 7 look cooler, has the same customization (very important for my huge hands), has more buttons but also has the precision aim mode which made the RAT 7 and 9 so popular, is far cheaper than the RAT 9 and did I mention looks cooler? Whereas the RAT 9 is wireless (useful but not a dealbreaker if I have to go wired), has less buttons, doesn't look as good and is far more expensive.

So if anyone can offer a really good reason why I should go for the RAT 9 over the MMO 7 I would really like to hear about it. Or is there gonna be an MMO 9 wireless version soon that will be the best of both worlds?

OK seeing as this is a huge wall of text I'm gonna put in a short version.

TL : DR - Which is better RAT 9 or MMO 7?

Thank you.

RAT mice are not great. The RAT 5 I had went nuts and had loads of tracking issues. When I removed the Cyborg driver, it was better but not 100% and still not really of any use to me. Worst mouse I'd ever used, others here, will tell you the same.

Now, I know you mentioned no Corsair mice, but the M60 I have is perfect. 100x better than the RAT & Logitech G4/500 series, in my opinion & experience.

I think your are a bit limited for choice if you have already narrowed it down. I would suggest re-thinking on practicality terms.

Can't imagine the RAT 9 or MMO 7 being all that comfortable, which is one of the most important things for a mouse. Looks like form over function, and i've heard bad things about them.

I recently got the Roccat Kone XTD. Which is the best mouse i've ever owned and i've had many gaming mice over the past 12+ years. Stability is rock solid, it always tracks perfectly. It feels great and the texture to it helps stop your hands getting sweaty as quickly as with many other mice. The software is also excellent, theres an option for literally anything you could want, and the Easy-Shift function will double the amount of buttons available. The size is good for medium to large hands.

Well that's interesting really because the reviews on this website have the RAT 7 and 9 and the MMO 7 at between 4.5 and 5 stars and all the reviews on YouTube that I have seen have said the mouse is excellent and will fit any size hand comfortably. There have been one or two negative reviews but they are few and far between. Not everyone is going to like every single mouse so those few bad reviews are to be expected.

Yea I have had a good look at this mouse but I don't like the shape of it and the buttons look a bit confusing if I'm being honest.

+1 i have a g9x on the way put a bit of research into it for general gaming its pretty good, good switches and i think 10 programmable buttons the whole whack, got everything you need for a general gaming mouse

Yea still don't like Logitech mice so this isn't an option for me. Also from looking at it it looks like it's more of a claw grip mouse and I can't use those as they are just too small for my hand.
