Need help to remove an image from a Word document

I've been forwarded a Word document (.doc) that has an image on it that needs to be removed. But I can't select it, Editing > Select > Select Objects doesn't work. I've enabled to Developer option and disabled the restrictions that were enabled...but unfortunately don't know enough about Office to know how I can 'enable' the image again.

I'm hoping somebody here may be able to help, Google hasn't come up trumps yet.

I've resolved it by saving the document as an XML file, opening with Notepad, deleting the text, saving as .doc.
