Need help transferring everything from ps3 HDD

... and my ps3 has died... yet again! :o

Ironically I cancelled the Continuous Play thing about an hour ago. How unlucky can I get?!

The thing is though, this time it doesn't appear to be YLOD. I think it might be the power supply.

Basically when I turn the console on it loads fine. Give it about 2 mins (literally 2 mins) and it will beep at me 3 times, repeatedly flash red until I press the On/Off Pressure Sensitive switch on the front of the console.

Same thing happens every time! I cannot believe that has happened on the very day that I cancelled my subscription to Continuous Play!!! Seriously!! :o

What are you going to do now? Wait a wee while and then re-activate your Continuous Play?

It seems to be working now. Just managed to have a 15 min game on TW 10' demo. I mean, the console just rebooted itself about 10 times in 20 mins as you probably saw me signing in and then out again after 2 mins. In my opinion the console is broken. Mmmm... at least I have all my data backed up this time!! :o

Well, she has been going strongly for the last few hours and hasn't crashed on me quite yet. Think I will give it better ventilation for the mean time until (perhaps if) the new ps3 slim comes out.
 
And we have YLOD again! :( To make matters worse my favourite game (Fallout 3) is in there and it died during a saved game! hope my HDD is not corrupt now! Got data backed up but I have just lost my saved game in Fallout 3 which I have already spent a few hours on! :( Signed up to Continuous play again today (just before it happened) as the signs were there. Going to need to stick the old HDD back in! :o Damn YLOD!!
 
Working again! Doing another backup! :o :o :o

edit: Backup to take 3 hours - Do I trust the console to make it to the end of this? No! :(

WOW, that's some real bad luck :(. Hope it gets fixed. The freezing thing after a couple of mins is exactly what happened here.

I managed to get it all backed up again without it dying on me. At least I have lost absolutely nothing data wise! :o What an inconvenience!!! :(
