need help using intel burn test

20 loops, all memory available and run it

make sure temps do not exceed 70C and you should be ok

Might be wrong but I thought the author of IBT stated recently that no more then 10 consecutive runs at max should be performed as it puts far too much stress on the chip?

I generally give it 10 full memory runs on IBT (which takes an age with 16GB), 3 hours of prime and then a few hours on BF3.

Prime probably isn't needed these days, but BF3 at least for me was a good indication of stability.

yea BF3 is a good indicator of how stable your cpu is.

i always use 20 loops because that is what my mates tell me and i have always used it... just helps make sure your cpu is stable, that is all
