Well I want more noise from my Dolomite. Already got a nice stainless steel exhaust on it, but it doesn't quite make enough noise for me. I don't sit on motorway often (1/2 times a month for only 30 mins) so I want something to sound good when going along country road. :D

Not really wanting to spend loads, so not really interested in a whole new exhaust system. I was thinking about altering/removing the centre silencer...

Ideas/Opinions?

Losing the centre silencer will make it loud - but you might find that you'll lose a bit of the bottom/mid range torque. It'll help the higher rpms mind, and make it noiser. :)

Thought about working on induction noise instead?

Can't really do anything for induction noise. I have listened to it without any filter on and that wasn't much better. Plus then I have to change carb needles for the air intake, plus the stock air intake gets the most power.

I was maybe also thinking about a different centre silencer, one that silences less. That should keep back pressure enough?

First thing that came into my mind was a Cherry bomber :p
God i am old.

Haha the guy who I bought the car of, that was the first thing he mentioned!

£300, hmm not wanting to spend that much to be honest. Just want a little more noise without having to get a whole new system if that is possible.

LOL Jonny, not lowering me thinks!

I like my stainless system though. :D So seriously could I stick in a louder centre silencer?

That seems a good setup there. Now I have the choice of k&n, itg or green cotton. I will have to find out what k&n's my mate is selling right now. If so then I could do it v cheap.

Edit - Just bought some new pedal rubbers by the way, £2 each.

Yup, need to work out which needles to go for really.
