Need help, want more noise!

Definitely remove the centre silencer, my 205 Rallye hasn't got one or a cat and it runs on carbs.

Sounds alright, I did however remove the performance backbox as it was too loud.

Stub stacks are OK but you really want longer ram pipes, these have the effect of moving the torque lower down the range and vica versa.

Depends what you want from it really but I'd say short ram pipes, a good compromise, like the ones I had on my 1850 (~1 1/2 inch depth), are the way to go.

Then as you say, a filter or two to cover them. There can be clashes with the master cylinder and battery, so whip out the ruler first before you order just to check :)

You'll need to alter the mixture and most likely change the needles after, as the engine won't run properly otherwise.

That seems a good setup there. Now I have the choice of k&n, itg or green cotton. I will have to find out what k&n's my mate is selling right now. If so then I could do it v cheap.

Edit - Just bought some new pedal rubbers by the way, £2 each.

Yup, need to work out which needles to go for really.
