Hi guys, i need some help. i cant make any calls.

i bought a blackberry 9700 off my uncle, for my daughter.

i have put her sim card into it, she has paid the £5 for the O2 BB bolt on.
it has registered on the BB network. (i got a message)

i have 3GPRS (in caps) in the corner, which i believe means she is connected to the BB network.

i have set up her email account on the phone, and she does recieve and send emails.

i then went to the O2 BIS site to register with O2, bit it says i have to do through the phone "please use your device to access the Blackberry internet service".

when i go to make a phonecall, i get "call failed" or "supplementary service error. General error"

what am i doing wrong? or have not done

Well you got the blackberry registration message on your device so you dont need to go through the BIS site of O2 and it seems to be working so your connected to the blackberry service.

Try pulling the battery out and see if that helps, if not ring up O2 and get them to have a look, it might be an issue on their side.

Is the SIM fully registered with O2? Can you dial their CS number? I presume you have rebooted the device right.

If you're seeing 3g/GPRS in the top corner then you're seeing the carrier network, it sounds like an account restriction which is stopping the calls.

We often get BB's at work which show 3g/GPRS out of the box but when you try to make a call you get a pre-recorded message asking you to call and register the SIM.
