Need help with EK blocks??

i can't comment on the board you have but it does look like there is an awful lot of space in between those cards for a single slot space

Okay, I suck at measuring but I think you are right. The duel only comes up at 4cms where is the 3 dual one comes up 6cms.

The gap between both cards is around 6cms so yea... I guess I need to make a webnote to get the B grade block removed and order a EK block from there website which is gonna cost me a bomb but that would be the joy...

i would advise ringing them first thing in the morning. Webnotes take a bit to go through so your order could have been sent by the time they read it

Am at work when they open so sadly I can't make a call. Hopefully they get my webnote in time if not its only 5 quid and I had order something else anyway so its not all wasted.

needed one block.... end up with 3 (fyi you are not the only person to do this i have a spare bridge somewhere that was the wrong kind that i never got round to returning)

Haha yea, One GPU block. Fine I can deal with it. Start doing SLI stuff and man it gets complex quickly...

i have a pair of 290's linked by one of these in my bathtub waiting to be tranferred into the mrs pc but after taking them out of mine i need a few days to recover

Haha, Well its all ordered now. Hopefully EK can get that shipped out quickly and I can get my B-grade stopped and we'll be all gooooooooood!

It's called 3-slot spacing because if you imagine the slots are numbered, your graphics cards are in slots 1 and 4, thus there being 3 slots between them (don't get thrown off by the fact the top graphics card commonly takes up two slots):

1 (16x) <- GFX
2 (1x)
3 (1x)
4 (16x) <- GFX
5 (1x)

Edit: just checked the image, the M6F omits a PCI-E 1x slot, although the space is still left for it.

Sorry, I probably should have checked the spacing before suggesting the B Grade item, but it was late and I didn't think about it and just based it off the link you already had.

Still, think of the satisfaction you'll get when it's all finally done!
