need help with fenrir fan

one problem the fan is big and is pressing/ pushing the ram stick over a bit and i dont tink it will be great keeping it there like that i have the haf 932 case should i turn the heatsink/fan round so the fan is pointing upwards ect?

anyone know how they put all this together which way they did it?

really want to get this done today as i go on my golf holiday tommorow
 
I assume you have it in push setup facing out of the back of the case, you should be able to adjust the clip position so that the fan is held in place high enough to clear the RAM.
 
its somewhat difficult to explain without a picture and im not at home so i can't take one, i'll take a look on google!

Ok this is the best i could come up with, think the opposite to the way this one is mounted, they have it flush with the top of the cooler which means the clearance isnt very good, you can basically slide it in the opposite direction so its flush with the underside which should clear your ram
 
in the white slots, also they changed the ram to viper ones but that would'nt be the problem tho would it as they test these out before shipping ect so they must have did it some how
 
turn the cooler around so the fan is on the other side, then turn the fan around so it pulls air through rather than pushes... thats on option

or, get a blade, and cut the fan casing so its not pushing the ram.

Not sure it would matter pushing it the way it is, as long as its seated ok...
 
the ram clicks in but just leans over a tad didnt want to damage the ram or board so your saying turn heatsink round and reverse the fan the other way round
 
It'll probbly be ok tbh.
If your case has a top exhaust you could always turn the HS clockwise so its extracting from the top.
The other option would be to take a dremel or something similar and slice the bottom edge of the fan off.
That Titan is a big bugger isnt it :eek:

tell me about it lol doubt i finish the pc today not back off me hols till wednesday,i leave it as in the pic unless someone raises any alarms

barkeep, not really... ive got the same cooler and its huge... the recess goes in quite a way so if he did that chances are quite high for the fan to come undone and fall off.

did you say you have the antec 300 in another thread rick?
if so just turn the fenrir so the fan is pointing to the top, and plug the top fan on so it vents through the top of the case...
 
I would turn the fan round or dremmel a gap at the bottom of the fan tbh . Pushing against it will not be good in the longterm

I agree with barkeep, the notches for the fan clip are on all the fins so it would be just as secure clipped at the 3rd or 4th fin up to clear the rams heat spreaders

i now have the haf 932 case with the hugh fans lol
