Hello im a bit clueless when it comes to computer parts but i was wondering if people could help,
I have a £1000-£1300 budget
I will mainly use the computer for gaming like world of warcraft
I dont need a mouse, keyboard and monitor

Your help would be appricated

Assumed you didn't need Windows - if you do there's enough left in the budget for it.

Gone for a M-ATX build here. Got a thing for those Corsair cases at the moment, things of utter beauty in my opinion. GTX980 is a cracking card for the price, beating the 780Ti in most benchmarks. The power supply is an extravagance really, I've gone for it because it is modular, will give you lots of future headroom and it's made by Superflower. You could afford to drop down to their 550w unit and still be ok if you'd prefer.

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 980 "Reference Design" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (04G-P4-2980-KR) £443.99
1 x MSI Z97M Gaming - Devil's Canyon i7 4790K CPU & Micro ATX Motherboard Bundle **£18 Saving** £355.98
1 x SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 650W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £79.99
1 x Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD + 9.5mm Adapter (CT256MX100SSD1) £79.99
1 x Corsair Carbide Series Air 240 High Airflow PC Case - Black (CC-9011070-WW) £69.95
1 x Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX21C11BRK2/8-OC) £67.99
1 x Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD20EZRX) HDD £62.99
1 x Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler £29.99
Total : £1,200.47 (includes shipping : £8.00).

If i go for a 2 monitor set up would i need a better power supply and also i live close to overclockers so i could pick up the computer itself just wondering if anyone could give me a rough price for them to build it. Also would this have no problems running 2 monitors

If it were me I'd opt for the 970, instead of the 980, it not far behind the 980 in benchmarks, and even on the key note speech the fella said something like " the 970 is the one to go for " That way what your saving you can get an all in one cooler, like a H100i or something along those lines.

Also the case isn't my cup of tea either, there are going to be so many air 240 builds when it is released, it will like the Ford Focus everywhere you look.

@ op this is a good build but as someone said 970 would allow you more options with cpu cooler etc and is a beast of a card in its own right

If you do go for a 980, you might want to opt for a different brand, as apparently EVGA are having trouble fitting coolers to their cards at the moment.

I know this advice sounds like it'll cost you more, but hear me out...

As you're close to OCUK, it may be best to actually visit them and ask them what system they can build for you for that amount of money. Make sure you go with a few idea's though; like CPU, GPU and case choice.

Example: "Hi guys, i have £1000-£1200, i want a PC based around the 4790k, GTX 970 and the Corsair 240 Air, what can you do?"

Or if you're open to other things, they may have some ex-display units going cheap.

Though personally i'd opt for option one. All the OCUK guys (i've talked to) are experienced so you should have noissues atall. :)
