I've got a Silverstone Fortress and I want to mount a triple rad on top of it (open air, not inside the top part) - there is a mesh cover over the top intake that is slightly raised so I want to use standoffs or something.

How exactly can I go about this? I want to secure the rad onto the case rather than just have it resting on top. Any ideas welcome.

No, there's no space for it inside... I was just clarifying (or so I intended) what "top" meant, because I knew someone would get the wrong end of the stick...

Thanks, that's almost exactly what I need but I want to mount it flat not on its side. :)

So the problem with standoffs is that I wouldn't be able to put the screw into them, unless I could find some hollow standoffs and drive the screw through that and into the mounting holes of the rad.

I'm looking into using brackets now, if anyone can link me some that'd be great.

don't mean to cause offence but have you thought this through

Just mounting the radiator and fans ontop of the case is going to look butt ugly (IMO).

What i have done with my fortress is just have the radiator sitting next to the case. Looks pretty good IMO

(the grey hi-fi unit on the top is now gone, was only there when the photo was taken :()

how-ever, if your case is on the floor, i think the radiator would get so dust clogged so quickly

IMO having the rad sitting unsecured next to the case looks butt ugly. :)

Got over my mental block and decided to just screw the standoffs into the rad the other way round... doh.

lol, beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)
I also have an unsecured rad sitting on the table - looking butt ugly:) Actually I've got more metres of tubing outside the case than in. One of these days I might have to change my opinion that any tower case looks butt ugly.
