Need help with new pc build!

i put the one that came with my CPU on, then didn't realise till i had put it all together that i hadnt fitted the one you recommended haha

do you recommend that i put it on?

he still browses the forums i think.

You'll be fine with the stock cooler. Just install the Themis when you have time, it will be better if you want to OC the Cpu. :)

Just follow the installation guide, they are usually pretty straight forward these days.
The 200R has a Cpu cut out, so you should`nt have to remove the mobo.

You will need to make sure you have some thermal paste remover, as you will have to clean the old paste off.

Something like this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Akasa AK-TC TIM Clean CPU & Heatsink Cleaner £5.99
Total : £9.90 (includes shipping : £3.26).

Here is a guide on removing the heatsink for Socket 1155. It will be the same for 1150 as well.

Just use some soft tissue. Or go down the Chemist and buy some Isopropyl Alcohol 50ml.

will normal alcohol not do? got plenty of that in the cupboard :L

In all seriousness though guys thanks for the help!

I find nail varnish remover works very well

Also, which way should the fan be facing? towards the back or the front?

I have my fan pushing air through the heatsink towards the rear exhaust fan, it's down to how the system is laid out though. It won't make much of a difference but for a good airflow you should have it pull from the direction of an intake fan to the direction of an exhaust fan
