Need help with OPNsense and Unraid connectivity

I received an email yesterday evening saying they had made background changes. They've told me I now need to pay extra for a static IP. (I already do - that's another argument).

My question; if they assign me another static IP, could I still be behind CGNAT and have issues or does the static bypass the CGNAT stuff?

Static bypasses the cgnat. Well it should anyway. Whole reason why you would pay for one. I’d be unhappy to pay for a static and then be on cgnat!

They agreed that is was their mistake and put me back on a static IP, and everything is working again!

Looks like this isn't an isolated incident as I'm with the same ISP and the VPN connection to my unraid box stopped working a few weeks ago. I've just noticed that whatismyip.com isn't matching the static IP I had been issued with previously.

They told me they made some changes behind the scenes and 'accidently' changed mine too. They did fix the issue pretty quick once I contacted them.
