Sorry for the long post but I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide.
I've recently decided to finally upgrade my PC as I've been having many many problems with my PC over a long time. Here is the build I was planning on buying, basically a whole new PC - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18554360.
Currently, my PC Build is not that bad at all (I Think), it was the first self made build I made which was only a year ago.
Here are my current specs:
Operating System
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Pentium E5700 @ 3.00GHz 49 °C
Wolfdale 45nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 399MHz (6-6-6-15)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. G41MT-S2PT (Socket 775) 24 °C
Graphics
Generic Non-PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz)
1024MB GeForce GTX 550 Ti (ASUStek Computer Inc) 29 °C
Hard Drives
373GB Hitachi HDT725040VLA360 ATA Device (SATA) 26 °C
Optical Drives
OBQV 8H6NSDY SCSI CdRom Device
Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S ATA Device
I can play games such as Skyrim on Maximum + HD, BF3 on High, Far cry 3 on High, Crysis 3 on High, etc... The Temperature on the Graphics Card usually only get up to 50-60 and I usually play for hours a day with no problem.
[The Actual problems] Over the past year, I've been randomly having 'Screen Corruption' as stated in this Thread - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18281472.
The thing is that it just happens completely randomly and once it happens it keeps occurring until it finally randomly stops for a long time again. One thing I have to mention is that after the Screen Corruption my PC crashes and then it keeps corrupting and then blue screening after I start my PC up. I have to keep trying and trying until it finally works again. (Not sure if it's relevant, but i've noticed that sometimes when i unplug some USB devices, it sometimes works instantly). This can happen while I'm playing a game, watching a movie, browsing the web or even just sitting on my desktop. I've checked the temperature of the times that the Screen corruption happens and I've barely ever seen it go over 60.
Things I've done to try fix the problem:
- Take apart my whole PC, clean it very thoroughly (carefully) and put everything back in. (I generally clean my PC every couple months or just when I see that it collected a lot of dust)
- Reinstall and format my whole PC
- Reinstall/update Graphics Drivers
- Get extra fans to keep the PC cooler
- Try playing on lower graphics / lower resolution (Same problem occurs)
Another and a big problem i have with my Graphics Card is that the HMDI doesn't work. Instead of working properly, it shows an around 800 x 800 resolution frozen screen of my background (no icons, nothing except background) and nothing else.
I've tried multiple sites and sources to try figure out what's going on but I haven't been able to find anything at all.
Big picture is I want to find out what I will have to replace and still upgrade my PC.
ANY help at all would be very appreciated.
Once again, I'm sorry for the extremely long post, just wanted to be very detailed.
