Hello, I would like to overclock my processor (model is stated in the title) to around 3.8 GHz from the stock 3.4, not sure if I want to try going any further since I'm inexperienced in this area and don't want to cause some major system instablility. My question is would I need to modifiy the Vcore to a higher value? Or could I possibly get away with keeping it at its stock level when pushing it by the additional 0.4 GHz?

At the moment, cooling wise, I'm using a internal water cooling system from Thermaltake, the Bigwater i720 I think it was. My CPU usually sits on about 30-ish on idle at the minute so I don't think its too unreasonable to push it a bit more.

Thanks in advance for any help anybody has to offer!

Right, here it is, this however isn't entirely accurate with temperatures since I've just been gaming for around 4 hours or so, so its been under stress and I've only just downloaded and installed the program, hope it helps though.

Sorry about the late reply but I've been waiting on replacing my power supply for a while so I can crossfire my extra 4890 before I actually went ahead with the overclock. I tried the values you recommeded (Martini1991) and it appears to be unstable so I'd just like to ask someones opinion on what to tweak and in what sort of direction.
