hi, my friend needs a new pc, his budget is £500, but he also needs keyboard, mouse and monitor, he mainly uses it for WoW, thanks

does he have any old parts to recycle to keep costs down as £500 for everything including monitor isnt going to get very far.

I know, thats what Ive told him, and I'm not to sure about that old parts, because his keeps breaking down, so maybe only the hard drive, and dvd drive can be re-used

nope, it has a OEM copy of xp, and the case is basicly useless, I have told him he will have to spend more then £500, but thats all he can afford at the moment

and his monitor wont keep him going for a while whilst he saves?
im sure you could probs buy an off the shelf pc for £300-£350 and then use the rest for a gfx card, but wouldnt be the way i would go.

well I'll ask him about the monitor later, I have got a spare 19" 1 I could lend him, so that would give more budget for the pc

Most likely going to have to try and find a second hand 4800 series graphics card. hes really going to strugle!

for £500 for a tower he could scrape something together, but its not going to be great.
unless he looks second hand for some parts as suggested.

well, I haven't looked at his pc, but by the sounds of it, anything new'ish is gonna be a lot better then his
