Need help!!

Just bought a anycubic i3 mega, have it all setup but when the extruder goes home to start a print it keeps banging on the bed, it won't stop banging until I reset or turn it all off, any suggestions?

Describe the steps your taking and those of the printer.

Does it home X and Y fine and then fails while homing Z or does it home everything ok and just drive itself into the bed when going to print?

Can you share a video of what's happening?

So you need to check the Z endstop is working correctly, check the wiring or even if it's being hit by the carriage before the nozzle hits the bed.

That printer has two Z endstops I believe check them both and that they are getting hit before the nozzle hits the bed.

You can test they work by turning the Z lead screws manually so the X axis is nearer the top of the printer and then homing the printer, but when it does Z, you push the endstops and see if it stops. If it does I think you need to adjust the bolt that hits the endstop (both of them)

If it doesn't stop, then either they are broken, wired wrong or something else.

Sounds to me like your gantry isn't connecting and triggering the z endstops.

Your bed may be too high
