your motherboard also has this connector
You need to connect the power supply from the PSU.
Without this, your CPU will not be detected by the motherboard.
how do i see if any pins are bent then, and what ones am i looking at as i have my cpu off nowYes exactly.
You need to check the status of the socket on the motherboard.
But before that. Check if CPU power is connected? As in the picture below.
i’ve just done it all and took my cpu out and cleaned it all and re applied thermal paste, and connected all the wires up again, and i’m still getting 5 beeps, so what do i do now? thanksyour motherboard also has this connector

The problem may be in the GPU. reddit had a similar problem. This usually happens with older GPUs.
Perhaps your GTX 1660 super is defective or not working properly?
What power supply do you have? Is the PSU powerful enough?

i’ve already tried to clear CMOS jumper by holding screwdriver on the 2 pins for 10-15 seconds and it still didn’t work and got 5 beeps and replaced the CMOS battery and all but i haven’t tried Q-Flash, what’s that? thanks

Q-Flash updates BIOS firmware.
Sometimes updating the BIOS helps.
ok and is it true i have to go on to the gigabyte website and download the new firmware on to a flash drive and then strip the board down and just have the board and nothing else on the board and the 24 pin power from PSU? thanks
I never understood.
Just don't turn on the PC. Just like clear CMOS.
The main thing is to download the correct firmware. This is for your motherboard.

Read that a faulty monitor cable caused 5 beeps even though its suppose ro relate to the cpu error.

Hi, I'm having issues with the gigabyte H310M S2H. it's beeping 5 times shortly, but not quickly. I've replaced RAM, removed GPU, and re set CPU. I've also cleared the CMOS. Things are pointing towards a CPU or MOBO fault. Anyone got any ideas? Or had similar issues? Any help would be appreciated

It's not my monitor cable, so i reckon theres something wrong with the MB so i'll have to call up Overclockers and see if i can get a new one with warranty or i'll try and test my CPU with my old MB and see if it runs on that and then i know it's not my CPU and must be my MBRead that a faulty monitor cable caused 5 beeps even though its suppose ro relate to the cpu error.

Most likely there is a malfunction in the Motherboard or CPU (CPU is unlikely).
Try contacting the store where you bought it.
