Need HTML Photo Gallery

Hi folks,

At the moment my 2 websites are using flash-based photo galleries which do exactly what I need but I'm getting complaints from some people who want to view them on ipads/iphones etc where flash obviously is a no-go.

The gallery will need to be extremely simple looking at dead simple to manage, giving me the ability to just dump images into folders and have it automatically generate thumbnails for me on the fly, like Flash Media Gallery does currently.

Any recommendations?

Galleria is a nice solution to use but it doesn't allow you to dump images into a folder.

You'll need to point the HTML file to each image, then Galleria will use that and create a thumbnail for you.

that looks superb visually and functionally - shame it won't read contents automatically though - i have hundreds of images!

This guy said he got it working with some PHP, but the links don't work anymore. Maybe you could contact him or already know some PHP and could set it up yourself.

I've actually gone with Galleria in the end - really very nice system there. Decided to go with Flickr to automate everything and that's working out ok. Would prefer to be able to split the stream into folders but there ya go...

Even though you've already chosen I would personally recommend single file gallery: http://sye.dk/sfpg/ it's 1 file and automatically reads whatever you dump into the folder.

That one looks ok but too many buttons and ways for users to mess about with it for my liking. I think Galleria is excellent so far.
