Hello,

I'm new to OCUK and I've been shopping around a few pc sites looking for a really low budget pc for everyday use with some gaming thrown in. Specifically, I'm looking to mostly play MMOs like WoW/Aion and games like Starcraft II/Diablo 3 on medium settings if I could. My budget is £300-£350 but judging from what I've seen so far, the lowest everyone seems to be offering for a budget gaming pc seems to be closer to £400 so this is what I've picked on OCUK.

I did tweak it a little bit and opted for a 1TB HHD and the AMD HD 7750 graphics card instead. It brings it to $380. I've tried to do a customize config but I couldn't get it cheaper than that.

So long story short, does anyone think I can get it better than that or whether its good at all? Any advice, comments and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks for your time guys, and I really like it here. :D

The best I could do. You'll have to live without case USB 3 ports. The 5800k APU is perfectly fine for games and coupled to the fast ram will be fine..can be overclocked too.

YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX) £99.95
1 x Patriot Venom Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (PV38G240C0KRD) £65.99
1 x Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £53.99
1 x Toshiba (7K1000.D) 1TB SATA 6GB/s 32MB Cache - OEM (DT01ACA100) HDD £49.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 430W V2 '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020046-UK) £39.95
1 x Xigmatek Asgard III Gaming Case - Black £27.95
1 x OcUK 20x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99
Total : £368.90 (includes shipping : £11.75).

That Trinity chip wont work with that mobo, you need an FM2 board. :)

What this guy said

For the budget it is the best system you can get and at a later time you could add to it to get better performance.

adding a 6670 like this one
YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 6670 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £55.99
Total : £61.97 (includes shipping : £4.98).

will add crossfire to your system which will help performance a lot when you have spare money.

Adding an after market cpu cooler like this one
YOUR BASKET
1 x Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler £26.99
Total : £32.96 (includes shipping : £4.98).

will mean you can overclock your cpu to get better performance out of it and yet again will add overall performance.

good luck

See now I used to think that, but the 5800k should be more overclockable due to running much cooler than the 6800k. Plus, when you look at benchmarks the 6800k comes out 2-4 fps quicker. In my book that doesn't make it a bargain.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback and suggestions so far guys. I don't have much in depth knowledge about benchmarks and things so forgive me if I ask stupid questions and get a little lost.

I forgot to mention, I won't be able to build it myself hence why I had to go through the OCUK configurator and pre-built systems on the site. I really have no clue how to put a computer together or else I would do it myself and probably save myself £50 or more.

As for overclocking it because I still have to shop around for a decent monitor to go with my pc, it will be dependant on how much this will all cost me first and if I even have money at the end, so based off a purely stock performance would the 5800 better or 6800? Also, forgive if I'm wrong, but I don't see anyone including a graphics card or is this suppose to be integrated?

Thanks again for all the help guys.

it would depend on how they both perform after overclocking. just because a chip runs cooler dont make it a better clocker 99% of the time its the look of the drew. but only 1% better at stock make the 5800k better at stock speed with the price difference
