Can someone suggest some memory kit(16 Gb) for an Asus p8 z77-v deluxe paired with an i5-3570k cpu?

buy the cheapest ram you can at 1600mhz+
Dont buy new, this stuff can be had for under £20 a stick if you get off brand for £11 a stick

i say this because ddr3 is dead, ddr4 will soon be on its way out, i would think in the next 2 gens of CPU. as intel and AMD start to fight the race to ddr5 will be important

I'm very wary of second hand memory, so many people don't take any ESD precaution, an 8GB dimm has 500 million cells in it and it only takes one to be faulty. Faulty memory is often the cause of many random issues. I buy Kingson memory as it has the lowest returns, then take ESD precaution when fitting. You may think i'm OTT but i'm a software engineer who also writes neural net software, it's hard enough getting the software correct without introducing hardware issues also.

You obviously take a stable system very seriously. Are memory calculation errors something that could cause problems with your software? may be worth while going down the ECC RAM route if so. That would involve switching to a Xeon processor though and support from your motherboard.

Computer stability is the most important thing for anyone, if a computer is not stable then what good is it. I've know about ESD damage since I was about 6 year old and use to build small electronics kits from IC's from Tandys.

Memory issues will effect even an office computer, but of course could give erroneous results when developing / testing neural network, those things are difficult enough without introducing any hardware issues.
