Looking for a new psu around 750 watts that isn't corsair as the one i have has just died and to rma it is going to cost a fortune that i dont think is worth the hassle or expense

So want to buy new and one from a company that has a uk rma service for piece of mind

Do evga have a uk based rma as the EVGA SuperNova G2 750W looks promising

Any help would be appreciated

Do you really need that much power? A single card pc will run easily on a 550w psu. The EVGA G2 units have that awesome 10 year warranty but I am not sure where you have to send them if they fail. The Superflowers (they build the EVGA G2's) however have the whole warranty with OCUK so no expensive shipping abroad.

how much is it going to cost to ship? I think the closest rma centre is Holland? I would box it up and ship it. If the psu died naturally your going to get a brand new unit, maybe even a newer model for the cost of shipping. A few guys on here have had results. Try and find the cheapest postage you can. Always try atleast once yourself I say, to find out.

"Well, I got a result today. Corsair have replaced my old faulty HX520 with a brand shiny new HX650! not bad for 20 or so notes!"

Unfortunately i need the computer for university work ,Its not just a gaming machine so i need it working asap and waiting for a rma replacment isnt the best option and even if i do rma the faulty unit i will only sell the replacement .If i can find some super cheap postage i will be sending it otherwise its going in the bin .

If I was in your situation then I would buy a new psu + rma the corsair. for the cost of rma postage you will hopefully get a brand new boxed psu to sell, you will atleast make your postage back and anything else is profit that can be taken off your new psu price. its up to yourself ofcourse :)

Just placed an order on a Superflower so i can get up and running tomorrow . Will look into sending the corsair for rma as it still has 2 years warranty if i can get cheap postage then maybe recoup some funds in the members market although the hx650 hasnt a good rep and only retails at £110 so for a refurb it wont be worth lotts .Minus the postage costs it may not be worth the hassle

they may refurb, or they may send you a brand new one, or even a brand new 800w where you gain 50w. The only way to experience the service and see if it works out for you is to try it and see. Its a small risk but its only the time taken out of your day your risking, at the very least you will get your postage back. Don't always go by other peoples word, everyone is different. You might be one of the good guys that comes out ontop :)
