easily the scearest game i have ever played, i loved it, it was every thing a fps should be, imo any way, shame multi player was a bit pap.
 
i thought it was bobbins.
it had so much hype and didnt live up to it, i found it too dark and boring to give any real chance tbh. but then again i think cod2 is awful so maybe you'll both win
 
Good to play through to end but don't think you will return for a second run. The MP is a bit restrictive.

IMO you should keep COD2 and get online and play MP bit more.
 
Well, I'm still unsure. I got COD2 for free, so its really no loss if I don't play COD2 at all now. I am one not to replay games once I completed them. The thing that tempts me about doom 3, is the amount of mods for it. there is that one that eprson posted here, the GTX one, the classic doom one, improved sounds and loadsa other stuff! Are the enemies varied, or is it just the same old pap over and over and over and over...... The bosses must be different and fun!

Same here, it was fun at the start, but the jumpiness soon wore off... I never completed it in the end...

The Mack & Mesh video was worth a watch though:)
 
COD > Doom 3 > COD2 >>> HL2.

Worth a go, story is nothing special, however it's better than the tat they come up with these days :rolleyes:

They just don't know how to make games like they used to.
 
Doom 3 is a good game but the gameplay is not a major factor in what makes it good, its more about the scares and showcasing the graphics
 
Doom 3, hmmm, Its fun to play, playng in dark and with surround sound, Makes you jump quite a lot but very repetative later on but good game none the less:)
 
Try and get the Resurrection Of Evil expansion CD as its a better + longer single player game than Doom3.

As someone else said the GTX gfx mod also adds a fair bit to the already impressive gfx (they are almost 2 years old though).

You can get Doom III and Doom III: Resurrection of Evil for £12.98 combined, which is a lot less than CoD 2.

Can't say more than that though :(
 
So you guys dont think I should get it? Could I please have a nlinmk to where you can get it for 13 quid? thanks But i really don't know now :(
 
I thought it was a good game, it gets a lot better when you get into it and get some better weapons plus the soal cube. I liked reading the PDA's, did anyone notice the spam emails :D , including a nigerian scam i thought that was a nice touch. The addon pack was also good imo.
