I'm after a 25mm thick 240 rad with a high fin per inch count.
where can I find this fpi info without looking though each manufacturer website:confused:

thank you. I was looking at the xflow verient.

there was a forum member that teasted a load of watercooling bits and posted his findings. you wouldn't happen to know his name (skinny or something) or have a link?

That GTS240 is high FPI all right :)
But it also has a high restriction! so it will effect on the flow.
By asking specifically for a high fpi RAD I assume you are going to go fan less with this? if not, putting any kind of fans on this would have to run at a higher RPM and would result in higher noise levels(compared to low/mid FPI RESs)

I have gentle typhoons, thought they would get enough air though. want to watercool my tf3 and only have space for a 25mm thick rad in the roof

what radiator would you recommend? I'm after a good performance. Avathar77, tell me more about this fanless setup I'm guessing I would have to close up all the vents in my cm690 bar intakes and exhaust where the rad would be?

For RADs I would say HW Labs SR1 range is the best in terms of performance and build quality(but I have seen few people with badly built RADs - mainly paint work), Alphacool NexXxoS has some good RADs as well(low restriction and relatively cheaper than HW labs).
Alphacool ST range is 30mm, XT is 45mm and UT is 60mm(I think) then there's "Monta" :)

I have seen lot of mods with CM690 cases with 2 x 240mm RADs! One in front drive bay area and another on top - with modding of course!

I saw a build with a GTS240 RAD fanless cooling an i7 920! but he couldn't run stress tests for a long time - normal light work loads were ok if I remember correctly.

I'm running a RS240 with pull fans on the top, and an EX120 with push/pull and 25mm shrouds on the bottom in my CM690. Might be worth considering two rads instead of just one to avoid having to get noisy fans.

I have a cm 690 too, the plan is to fit a 240 in the roof with my two typhoons under the plastic top. then at some point add my gpu to the loop, since oc'ing it has started to sound like a jet. I also dont want to mod the case that would just eat into the little time I have to game. still haven't had the time to measure how much space I have for the rad.

I am currently running a ek 120 kit, might use the 120 rad for everyday use and with the help of a fan controller (corsair link when they deal with their issues) to power the up the fans for the 240 when gaming.
my short list is the hardware labs sr1 and the xspc ex240. I think I have enough space for the ex, not too sure about the sr1 until I get the tape measure out.
