Not sure where exactly to put this thread so its here... Sorry if its in a 'wrong' location.

Anyway im looking to buy new screws for my PC. Basically I have a Corsair 800D case and when changing the fans on the top of the case one of the screws lost its thread. I had to remove it by drilling it out which is all well and good but now I have a missing screw. Not a huge problem in itself only its making the case 'rattle' so now im in need of some more screws.

Only issue is I don't know what type of screw I need. They are very long screws used to hold my radiator in place but when I searched for screws on the main page it came up with all sorts of other screws but nothing that looked like what I wanted. There are two longer type of scres available but im not sure out of both which would apply to my machine. The current screws I have go through both my radiator and a set of fans and im not sure if the screws are long enough.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks!

What length are these 'screws'? Maybe if you have a local hardware store or Maplins take one along and see if they can match it.

Take the screw out, measure it with the vernier (or even a ruler), find replacements from any good hardware store.

If you can't find the correct length, buy too long, screw a nut on, cut to size, take the nut off. Perfect screw.

He said he snapped one screw, surely then he has other screws he can take out and measure, of the same type.

Failing that, tap a slightly larger hole and whack a new screw in.

If it's to do with holding his rad in place it's nothing to do with Corsair unless he has a Corsair all in one jobby. Still waiting on the OP to tell us what rad he has so we can find out the thread size for it.
