network drive security
Hey,
I used to use an external drive (Freecom Classic SL) that had to have a piece of software installed on the PC to be able to see it, once the software was installed it would search the local network for the drive and when it found it you'd have to cofirm a barcode that was on the base of the disk, once this was done it would always be there and show up as an internal local drive rather than a network drive.
This was ever so simple and was quite benficial with respect to security. Does anyone know of any drives for sale at the moment that still do this kind of setup?
