Need software to format HD

I need some software to format and partition a Hard disk. I have recently acquired a nice little 30 g disk from the tip and it needs suitably formating. Windows 98 only sees around 20g other than XP startup, can anyone recommend a bit of software? Many thanks.

What about a Ubuntu Live disc? You could use Gparted on it.

I don't know of any other free ones.

Partition Logic will do this for you, also have a look in the Partition/HDD Backup/Management and General Utilities And Other Applications sections for other free utilities.
