Need software to...

monitor what my 7 year old does on his PC.
I have just put a PC in his room so he can go on games etc, keep him from giving me a headache, but I want to make sure I can keep an eye on what he goes on while im downstairs.

Does anyone have a Virgin Media router (the new 1s) and if so, can 'logs' be kept on it?

Windows7? Use the in built parent controls, very good and easy to set up!

dont know about logs but on the old white netgear you can use keywords to block websites

Windows 7 has the ability as stated above or check out K9 Web protection which is free and very good.

His pc is windows XP but my router is the Virgin Media 'superhub' router If that helps?

Also, I suggest you install VNC on his PC (and yours). VNC is a program which allows a person running the VNC viewer to connect to another computer running the VNC server, and allows you to see the other PC's screen, and also operate his keyboards and mouse from yours, unless you use view-only mode.

It's easy to install and use. And there's a free version - I use "tightVNC" and have never had problem with it.
