Hay guys i want to build a new system that i can play MMO's on and stream the game play and use my hd webcam all at the same time. i dont have unlimited
money so please nothing to expensive please :D

thanks in advance for your help guys.

i know this might seem random but some one said you need a certain type of graphics card to be able to stream your game play? is this true or is my mate talking rubbish?

Rubbish I thought,

Nvidia has SHadowplay and AMD has Raptr but they have limits in the amount of recording time.

20mins - http://www.geforce.co.uk/geforce-experience/shadowplay - http://about.raptr.com/raptr-introd...-streaming-platform-for-amd-and-nvidia-users/

But that is recording and not live streaming.

Just found an article about streaming to Twitch - http://www.maximumpc.com/how_stream_your_games_twitch_tv_2013

It says you want a good GFX card just for your own gaming experience,

Note that we didn’t say a word about graphics cards. Frame rates are important for the simple sake of having a quality experience to stream, but the prowess of your GPU shouldn’t directly affect your streaming capabilities.

ok cool thank you. im building this for my friend and she wanted me to double check this will be ok for her. she will be streaming hearthstone and wow and wants it to be streamed at a reasonable quality so its watchable with no dropped frames, or lagging, or jumping and have her web cam on.
so this will be fine for all that right? also how easy would it be to add a second screen to this build?

It should be fine from my understanding, you can always dump a 8230E eight core cpu in for added performance.

The GFX card will run two screens, have a look at what outputs it has.

From my personal experience, you can have a £4000 gaming monster, but if your upload speed is slow, you're gonna be streaming some **** quality.
A second monitor helps with streaming ten fold believe me, and it helps with everything else too. That gpu would run a second monitor fine.

cool thank you very much for your help

No problem mate.
If she will be streaming to twitch i believe they have a quality test based on your bandwidth. So you put in your upload speed to this calculator and it will tell you what quality you will be able to stream with stability.

What program will she use to stream? I would recommend OBS (OpenBroadcasterSoftware) I have used it to stream to console and pc, plus it is totally free. It is used by many high profile streamers, on console and pc.
Great piece of software, plus a great community to help you if needed.

Just also be aware that viewers do not get the option to change the quality of your stream until you are twitch partnered. I believe you wont get that until:
'To qualify as a Twitch Partner, we look for:

Average concurrent viewership of 500+ (not just a one-time peak)
Regular broadcast schedule of at least 3 times a week'

So when someone is not partnered if they stream in 1080p it means their viewers can only watch in 1080p which is fantastic but a lot of peoples internet won't allow them to watch that higher quality therefore they wont be able to watch your stream. So i would say streaming at 720p is a must until she gets partnered.
Why stream in 1080p if only 25% of your followers can actually watch it.
Any other questions fire away!

yea she uses OBS and dont think she really wants to stream at hd just tream a good pic that runs smooth

The pc would be fine matey, a second monitor is invaluable and always a recommendation from me, especially for streaming :) Just make sure her upload speed will manage 720p before dropping £££ on a new pc
