Hi guys,

I'm building a new tower and I got most components selected,
just 1 problem: I know (almost) nothing about motherboards

First of all here's what my pc will look like roughly:

Antec 900 with truepower
Q9550 with zalman cooler (NO overclocking!)
1gb or 2gb videocart (4870 series), possibilty for Xfire
4gig ram
2x F1 spinpoints
reader/writer and DVD reader
need firewire + usb at front and at least 6 usb in total

So I basically need something stable, again I'm not going to overclock,
maximum of about 150-160 pounds

I came up with these 2 mobos, would they work?

Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6
Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 <---- from what I know this should work fine

Thanks in advance.

1) dont get that case its dusty and small.
2) 2gb graphics card ram is an overkill, 1 gig is really, Get a 512mb 4870.
3) Any reason your not overclocking?

1) Antec 1200?
2) I buy a pc then dont touch it for 5-7 years, still go lower?
as in buy 1gb now and another in 1 year when price is low?
3) I don't know how to do it. (and also cba to do it :D )
