Need some advice

Hello, i have just ordered a monitor that say's it's Full HD but only has a VGA and DVI input.
If i connect the PC to the monitor through DVI will it be in Full HD when i play games or is HDMI input needed?

DVI = HDMI without sound tbh.

DVI and VGA can carry 1080p resolutions (and higher). The audio will not be pushed over the cable, thats the only real difference (aside from DVI generally having better quality than VGA).

Ah right, cheers m8.. I have a surround sound setup so audio doesn't bother me.
Just was wondering if i needed HDMI for true HD
