Hi,
I'm getting back into weights again after a 10 year break. The only problem is I have pot belly.


what I want to know is- Should I loose weight first or will lifting weights help me loose weight?

In addition to Zean's query...

Lifting will help you lose weight as part of a structured routine, in conjunction with a good, balanced diet.

I'm also guessing you didn't get the potbelly because your day job may have been conducted from behind a desk (I.e. your diet may well be rubbish), so be honest and post up a food diary.
 
Dont be. You are't exactly heavy and there are no doubt people on this forum in a worse state than you. The main thing is that you are looking to change, we can help you get a good idea of what is possible if we know what you are starting like :p
