I'm sure everyone's sick to death of these threads, but I really could use some help/criticism with my current CV as I'm in desperate need of a job and never get any response from applications I make.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/...dPxfO3vPYZ6q34/edit?hl=en_US&authkey=CO6hkcgM

I'm not just looking for IT based work at the moment, I'm looking for absolutely anything so when I apply to non-IT based stuff I remove the relevant parts.

I would be thankful of any help you can give me on this matter.

Care to elaborate?

FYI the grid isn't on the actual doc file, that's just how it's converted it when I've uploaded it to Google docs if that's what you're on about.

get rid of the off centre boxes
don't have one section on 2 pages
put your name at the top and try to fit contact details on one line under (use smaller font)
take out the word overclocking
take out your gcse/a levels, a degree makes them redundant
remove the guitar/music comment unless you're apping for a band - I'm picturing you with long hair

edit: also watch what is in your facebook/myspace, most employers will check, so no public comments about how big your last joint was or pictures of you wasted with your eyebrows shaved off

I already said there are no boxes on the actual CV, google docs has messed up the layout.

My name is at the top, with contact details underneath.

I was always told to put a small paragraph with my interests in on my CV, are you saying this is a bad idea?

My facebook profile is private so no worries there.

My cv has got a funky format, and a few employers have commented on the presentation of it.

Go for something a bit different, I know google docs has stuck boxes around it. Any chance of hosting the word one somewhere? I think the right ingredients are there, just tweaking them to look less dull.

edit: Why the short stints in your jobs? Have you done at least a year with one? maybe explain reasons for leaving?

What about your communication skills? Team working? Time management? Can you work independently? What is your problems solving like? How are you with external customers? Even developers need to talk to customers.
