Hello

I'm looking for a few films similar to the ones mentioned in the title. They don't necessarily have to have twists, but the gritty depressing vibe they give off is a fantastic watch for me.

Any suggestions?

Thought you were mad for suggesting this as it's one of the more uplifting movies I've ever seen but then I remembered that there's another movie in 2007 based on the Sylvia Likens case and yeah that film is bleak and very disturbing.

Holy crap I forgot about that film, Eden Lake is massively depressing... at the end I was just like: "Nooooooooo whhhyyyy". It left me on a downer for a couple of hours.

The Jacket was decent and Shutter Island/Twelve Monkeys/Sucker Punch (I loved it) District 9/AI: Artificial Intelligence
