Ok guys, after a very long research session yesterday and learning the bios settings and a lot of sweating i finally got to 3ghz but not very stable, 20 mins i get a system reboot with temps being below 50 usually 45 or so.

need some help on how to get it stable, the only thing i know of is CPU-Z for this sort of thing, but if you know something that will help please say so and ill get the screenshots up

Thanks in Advance. Help me get it stable :)

Edit sorry the mainboard is the Gigabyte DS3 and ram is the GeIL 2GB PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency

Have you set the RAM voltage to 2.1v (+3)? That's the Geils preferred voltage at pc6400 speeds.

And yeah 1:1 is probably the best for the Geil on a e6300.

yea its been +3 since yesterday, upped the volts to 1.4 dead on and its been priming for the last hour and a half at 3.0ghz without breaking a sweat :D
