Basically i bought a MSI gtx 970 as an upgrade from my 750 ti and i have experienced no difference in game. I ran Heaven and got 10fps max on medium settings. I was wondering if it is my graphics card or something else

My specs:

GPU: MSI Geforce GX 970
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz
Operating System: Windows 10

I'm new to all of this stuff too so please don't judge :)

What is your score In Heaven ran at 1080p and ultra settings? This will give an indication of how it performs exactly.

Well, If your score is 57 them something is up somewhere within your pc, Could be the card itself though, Can you put your 750ti back in and see what score you get with that?

What games are you trying to play?

Basic question but - do you have your GTX970 plugged into your power supply? The 750Ti doesn't need external power(gets it all straight from the motherboard), but the 970 does.

Have you connected the power to your GPU and also the monitor cable and installed the NVidia drivers? That score looks like it is what that CPU would score running that bench.

Dude's about to get one serious upgrade. lol

Yes completely what a upgrade boost ....

it happens... had it happen to some one recently with a pc that came to me he had been using on board for all most a year and had a 960 unused installed
