Need some help with my MSI gtx 970

No one is judging (i'm not) just glad he came on here to get sorted otherwise well...but the question is would the 750ti do the job anyhow....either way that is a great upgrade boost for sure and a great story :)

Yes completely what a upgrade boost ....

it happens... had it happen to some one recently with a pc that came to me he had been using on board for all most a year and had a 960 unused installed
Yea, not making fun of Kyle at all. None of this stuff is 'obvious' without having a basic grasp of PC parts. Before I built my PC in 2013, I'd only ever looked inside a PC twice in my life and couldn't have even told you where the CPU was.

And hell, even if you do know your stuff, some basic things are easy to gloss over. I remember I spent an hour freaking out that my PC had died after I cleaned it out, trying to figure out what happened, and it was just that I had the PSU power switch off.

I am looking forward to his response results.....sure wish i could experience what he is about to witness ..great stuff ....

A nice easy fix and you are not the first person I have seen this with and I bet you are not the last. Glad you are up and running as it should be :)

My stepson took his pc to his dad's a bit ago and he rang me complaining that he had no output to his monitor.

He'd plugged into the mobo...thankfully it was a pentium or may have gone unnoticed.

I had to go from a 970 to my IGP last weekend. Nothing would work nicely, even project zomboid or resident evil remake...I was surprised how badly that ran.

I also had to force myself to bed last night after testing my 1070 but not before I'd had a few laps on Assetto Corsa.

rotflmao - I had a friend who called me in the middle of the night in tears with the same thing....rushed over to see what the issue was......he'd turned off his psu....I was like seriously you got me out of bed for this.....you owe me beers :D

I did the same thing with my first built system......we all do it at some point :D
