Need some help with validation + looking for software that scans my whole pc and gives me report of hardware and software that is currently installed.

Fist - I was told we must validate all machines at work, so I go to microsoft www run validation and thats it, validation succesful.
Is there any way of getting a report so i can print it or anything like that?

Second - I need an application that will scan my computer and give me a report of hardware and software. Preferably free as my company doesnt like spending money on anything LOL.

PsTools will show various information about your system, not sure about the validation thing though.

Give Everest a try.

You can get summaries and diagnostics of hardware, software and the OS. Although the Corporate Edition is on Trial, I think the Ultimate Edition is free but with some features disabled.
