Tonight I have experienced a very bizarre problem with video play back on my computer.
Last night I went to bed watching videos on the computer fine, didn't watch any today but played a bit of WW2OL on the computer - that is literally it.
So, I just went to put on a couple of videos in media player to watch when I go to bed.. Just a black screen and sound. Tried another video, that was working last night, and the same thing. I installed a new codec pack, still the same thing.
I tried multiple media players, and the same thing happened - just a black screen where the video should be and the correct sound. I then tried VLC player, which made the video visible.. Just with a very heavy black tinge to it all - as if the video's have all had a rather semi-opaque black layer put over them.
Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can fix that? I've never heard of anything like it before, nor has google apparently.
EDIT: I should also mention that in Vista the thumbnails on the video icon's are still showing up just fine.
