Derp at myself. I didn't realise they'd not put a 4800 section yet.yeah the 3870 drivers should work, as im sure the 4800's are supported in those as well, but the latest ones for the 4800's are the hotfix drivers which you can get from here :- http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894 just look down to most recent topics, number 2.![]()
ConfirmingYou can just install the hotfix as far as i know, as its a full driver package.
That's normal, the stock cooler is bugged and won't go above 14% speed. But even so you might want to check out an aftermarket cooler as the PCB has the holes in the right places to take older heatsinks which are cheap-ish, like the Accelero S1.What temps are you guys getting from your 4850's? mine wont go below 80 degrees on idle.

They'll fix it eventually, or you can use custom programs like Rivatuner to create fan speed profiles when they get around to making the program recognise the card and drivers.Do you think ATI will be fixing this? or should i just go ahead and buy a custom cooler?
